About The Provider
Winnifred Wong, DO, MBA, is a board-certified radiation oncologist and medical director of our Celilo Cancer Center. She is passionate about cancer screening, prevention, and education. “I want the best for my patients and the community, and this starts with early detection,” she shares. “Early detection often results in better outcomes, less-toxic treatments, and better quality of life.”
She values being able to help people who have cancer, whether by curing the disease or easing the symptoms. “Patients come to me during one of the most difficult times of their lives and trust me with their care,” she says. “I do not take that lightly and hope to take some of that stress, fear, and burden off their shoulders when in my clinic.”
Prior to graduating from the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Wong served as an active-duty logistics officer in the U.S. Air Force, of which she is a 16-year veteran. During her residency at University of Washington Medical Center, she spent a year as chief resident of the radiation oncology department. She is also a medical acupuncturist and received her Executive Master of Business Administration from UCLA in June 2024.
Outside of work, Dr. Wong shares her life with three dogs: Norman, a toothless dachshund-Chihuahua mix; Penny, a whippet-Chihuahua mix; and Bijou, an 8-pound senior chihuahua. She describes them as “small but mighty.” Dr. Wong enjoys walking her dogs, running, biking, cooking, and traveling.
