Tyler Yu-Tai Kang, MD

Dr. Tyler Y. Kang, a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist, has joined the physician team at the Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center. Dr. Kang is known for providing high quality, compassionate medical care and collaborating with his patients to ensure their care is in harmony with their goals.

Dr. Kang is a graduate of the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles. He later completed an oncology and hematology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He began his cancer care practice in 2008 with East Bay Medical Oncology-Hematology Associates and has been named a Top Doctor in the Bay Area by San Francisco Magazine for multiple years. He has a special interest in brain cancer, lung cancer, genitourinary cancer and head and neck cancer.

In addition to conducting and publishing research, he is an active member in professional societies and enjoys spending time reading, golfing, sailing, snowboarding, playing tennis and traveling.
