About The Provider
Board-certified nurse practitioner Joey Beardsley, DNP, FNP, specializes in cardiology. With years of experience working in urgent, emergent and cardiac care settings, he’s dedicated to helping people achieve healthier hearts. “I find joy in helping patients restore and improve their quality of life,” he says.
For the first eight years of his career, Joey worked as a nurse in multiple roles at Adventist Health Portland. During that time, he assisted with many types of cardiac procedures and discovered a growing fascination with the field of cardiovascular medicine. “I developed a passion for caring for this patient population and decided to return to school and advance my degree,” he shares.
At Washington State University in Pullman, Joey earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus. He also attained certification as a family nurse practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Today, as an advanced practice provider, he works with cardiology patients to treat and help resolve a wide range of heart-related conditions.
Outside of work, Joey enjoys bicycle riding, spending every moment he can with family, and supporting his kids’ activities and sports. Together they love cheering on the Portland Timbers, Thorns and Blazers
