Stephanie Pike McDonald, PA-C

Stephanie McDonald is a physician assistant with Sierra Orthopedic Institute. She received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University in 2004 and masters in physician assistant studies from the University of Kentucky in 2007. She has worked in orthopedics since graduating in 2007 and, in 2014, she obtained a certificate of added qualification in orthopedic surgery.

Stephanie was born and raised in the Midwest but has fallen in love with the mountains since moving west. She loves mountaineering, hiking, snowboarding and backpacking. She is the mother to a beautiful little boy who is already quite the outdoorsman! She also has three rescue dogs who join her on the trails as well.

She loves to travel internationally and does so frequently. She and her husband have a special fondness for international volunteer medical work and recently traveled to Africa to volunteer through Health Volunteers Overseas. They hope to return for another volunteer placement soon.
