Shirley Pua, MD

Shirley Pua, MD, is board-certified in gastroenterology and brings more than 30 years of medical experience to her practice. She credits her dad for a career path in medicine and feels fortunate that she is a doctor able to help patients with gastrointestinal diseases.
She sees patients with abdominal pain, peptic ulcer disease, acid reflux disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, constipation, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Pua is a graduate of the Santo Tomas University in Manila, Philippines. She received a scholarship for a short training in Japan prior to coming to the United States. She completed her fellowship training at UT Houston-Health Science Center.
When not busy with patients or family, she enjoys trying out new recipes in her kitchen or traveling.
