Shawn Marie Marshall, FNP

Family nurse practitioner Shawn Marshall, FNP, has a uniquely personal commitment to working with vascular patients. “My brother was a vascular surgery patient at a young age, so I like to tell people I was caring for cardiac patients since I was 12,” she explains.
As a nurse, Shawn worked in telemetry and the cardiovascular unit. With that background, Shawn’s move to vascular and thoracic surgery came naturally when she completed her family nurse practitioner studies at Bradley University.
Shawn grew up in a family that prioritized helping others. Her work continues that legacy, and she values benefiting her patients through her care and positive influence. “When you hear a patient say they can now do things they haven't done in years, it is very rewarding,” she says.
Every season in the Pacific Northwest brings a new way to play, and Shawn soaks up the outdoors with her three boys. They love camping, hiking, riding motorcycles, water and snow skiing, and playing sports. When the weather drives her indoors, Shawn enjoys reading, crocheting and eating food she doesn’t have to cook.
