About The Provider
Dr. Ronald Chelsky is board-certified in cardiologist. He’s passionate about getting to know patients and believes understanding them better is key to providing the best care and support for their individual needs.
Naturally drawn to medicine, Dr. Chelsky found cardiology to be a constantly changing field and was excited by the new technological breakthroughs in this specialty. He even found ways to incorporate computer modeling into his organic chemistry research. Cardiology care draws on many aspects of internal medicine, and he enjoys staying up to date on how issues like kidney disease, diabetes and rheumatology can influence heart health.
Dr. Chelsky holds a medical degree from the University of Texas and completed a residency and fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. His practice incorporates general cardiology and nuclear medicine.
Dr. Chelsky is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and has participated in more than 30 clinical trials and published a number of scientific papers.
In his spare time, Dr. Chelsky enjoys cooking, skiing, and following his kids to musical and sporting events.

I was extremely impressed with Dr Chelsky and my entire experience. Was very professional and friendly, knowledgable and efficient. This was my first time as a patient in the Portland Adventist Med Center system. Dr. Chelsky was very knowledgable and communicated a lot of information and options for the treatment of my Atrial Fibrillation.I was there for a second opinion and I am very thankful I chose them to consult with regarding my options at this time.

He speaks too fast and assumes the patient understands. And yes, you can and should ask him to slow down and or repeat himself. Some people are not comfortable doing this.

Dr. Chelsky was obviously in a hurry. When I had qustions he told men that I if had more questions to make another appointment and that he had other patients to see. His attitude was that all that mattered was that he meet his patient load for the day. This is wrong on so many levels
