Robin Sjostrand, PhD

Robin Sjostrand, PhD, has more than 12 years of experience caring for patients, and treats conditions such as depression, anxiety, anger management, substance abuse, relationship issues and more.

Dr. Sjostrand earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Clinical Psychology and Master of Science degree in Psychology from Walden University in Minneapolis, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from National University in Fresno. She completed an internship in clinical psychology at Valley Teen Ranch in Fresno and a post-doctoral fellowship at Tarzana Treatment Centers in Tarzana, Calif. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.

“I love being able to help people learn the skills they need to lead happier and more fulfilling lives,” said Dr. Sjostrand. “I believe life is a precious gift, and while it does come with trials and hardships, it also comes with incredible joys that feed our soul.”

A native Californian, Dr. Sjostrand has lived in Oakhurst for 30 years. She has three adult children, and, when not caring for patients, enjoys her Staffordshire terrier and quilting with friends. She is inspired by the “incredible vistas” of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the many lakes and trails of central California.
