Richard William Brandes, MD

As a gastroenterologist, Richard Brandes, MD, is an expert in all the organs that form the digestive tract. He has special interest in liver disease, colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease and new endoscopic technologies. A native of Oregon, Dr. Brandes earned his medical degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. He spent six years at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, where he completed his residency in internal medicine as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology. Dr. Brandes enjoys fly-fishing, basketball, skiing, gardening, reading, mountain biking and baseball.
