About The Provider
Board-certified obstetrics and gynecologist Richard Ellsworth, DO, is a long-time provider in the Hanford community, caring for women at every stage of life. He provides preventative gynecologic services, minimally invasive surgery, family planning, prenatal care and more.
Dr. Ellsworth earned his medical degree from the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He then completed his internship at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Michigan before fellowships in family medicine and obstetrics and gynecology at the Navy Regional Medical Center at Camp Pendleton in California.
He spent 15 years in the United States Navy at Navy medical centers throughout California. Since that time, he has been in private practice and a contract physician with the Navy Hospital, Naval Air Station in Lemoore.
Dr. Ellsworth is board-certified in both family medicine and obstetrics-gynecology. He also is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California.
When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.
