About The Provider
OHSU assistant professor and Adventist Health Portland surgeon Dr. Patrick Worth’s clinical interests span cancers of the pancreas, bile ducts and liver, as well as the treatment and management of pancreatitis. He is certified in robotic surgery and is committed to utilizing minimally invasive approaches when appropriate.
As a funded researcher in the Brenden-Colson Center for Pancreatic Care, Dr. Worth’s research focuses on the mechanisms by which pancreatic cancer cells evade treatment.
Dr. Worth came to Oregon for general surgery training at OHSU after growing up in rural eastern Connecticut. He attended college at New York University and medical school at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. After completing his residency in Portland and becoming board-certified in general surgery, Dr. Worth spent two years at Stanford University training in surgery of the liver, bile ducts, gallbladder and pancreas.
In his free time, Dr. Worth enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, reading and woodworking. Weather and time permitting, he can be found running, rowing, hiking and skiing.
