Nissar Ahmad Shah, MD

Dr. Shah is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, and internal medicine. He loves interacting with his patients, involving them in their journey to achieve better health. He feels it is important to work with patients on a personalized plan for treatment that addresses their specific needs and lifestyle. Dr. Shah specializes in treating diabetes, androgen excess disorders, thyroid diseases, pituitary disorders, adrenal diseases and other disorders of the endocrine system.
Dr. Shah is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and practices at Adventist Health Physicians Network - Alamo Hills Medical Group in Simi Valley. He received his medical degrees from University of Rajasthan, Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jaipur, India, and Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, Kashmir and did his internal medicine residency at Sisters of Charity Hospital, Catholic Health System in Buffalo, New York. After completing his residency in internal medicine he completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, UCLA program in Los Angeles, followed by NIH funded advance research fellowship in Androgen Excess Disorders at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
He enjoys spending time with his family and his hobbies include music and travel. He also speaks fluent Urdu.
