Merrilyn Yang, PMHNP

Merrilyn Yang is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, with extensive experience focusing on patient and family-centered care utilizing a collaborative, holistic approach and evidence-based practices. She treats various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, ADHD, and substance use disorders. Merrilyn sees adolescents from age 12, and adults 18 and older.
Ms. Yang was inspired to practice medicine after watching her mother, as a nurse, advocate and educate about healthcare in their community, where there were barriers to healthcare access. “I believe it is important to understand a person’s biopsychosocial background in order to provide excellent care,” shared Merrilyn. “I enjoy getting to know my patients, making connections and finding common ground to meet their needs.”
In addition to being outdoors, fishing and hiking, Ms. Yang enjoys reading, yoga, experimenting with new recipes and traveling.
