Matthew P Campbell, MD

Board-certified vascular surgeon Matthew P. Campbell, MD, has extensive experience treating arterial and vein diseases of the lower extremities and evaluating patients for non-vascular causes. He believes in using minimally invasive techniques and procedures whenever possible because patients experience the best outcomes along with less pain and scarring and faster recovery times. His surgical and clinical interests include abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, varicose veins and hemodialysis access.
Dr. Campbell earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and completed his post-graduate training during a general surgery residency at Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York and a vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
“Treating and helping my patients recover from potentially life-threatening vascular conditions is rewarding,” he said. “Knowing that I have saved a life or improved someone’s quality of life is the greatest feeling.”
When not caring for patients, Dr. Campbell enjoys spending time with his wife and adult children. He also is an avid baseball fan and an outdoorsman in search of the best fishing, hiking and camping experiences in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
