Justin Stites Lewis, MD

Board-certified physician Justin Lewis, MD, specializes in gastroenterology. Dedicated to treating a wide range of chronic, urgent and emergent GI conditions, he gathers great fulfillment out of helping patients find relief from gut problems. “The most rewarding aspect of my work is constantly collaborating with the entire medical team to genuinely make an impact in a patient’s life,” he says.

After earning his medical degree at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, Dr. Lewis completed a residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He then pursued two fellowships: one in internal medicine at Northwest Permanente and another in gastroenterology at the University of California San Francisco – Fresno. He has filled several service roles, co-researched multiple medical studies, and presented findings at national and regional conferences.

“Medicine is constantly advancing and changing, which keeps my work interesting and challenging,” he shares. “I am excited to serve the patient population of Portland and to work with an incredible group of people at Adventist Health to do so.”

In his free time, Dr. Lewis enjoys sports like basketball, baseball, football and golf. He and his wife stay busy with their two young sons and sweet family dog, Sadie. They love taking trips to local parks and the Oregon coast.
