About The Provider
Family nurse practitioner Joshua Minter, FNP, specializes in family medicine. He provides comprehensive, holistic care for patients of all ages, ranging from preventive measures to advanced treatments. “I am passionate about providing continuous care and helping patients navigate their health journeys,” he says.
With a genuine desire to make a difference, Joshua takes a proactive, compassionate approach to patient care. He forms lasting relationships and addresses not only physical issues, but emotional and spiritual well-being as well. “Whether it’s helping a patient manage a chronic condition, supporting them through a difficult diagnosis, or simply being there with a listening ear, there’s nothing quite like seeing a person’s health improve and knowing I played a part in that transformation,” he shares.
Joshua’s medical journey started with several nursing roles. Shortly after high school he became a certified nursing assistant, then over time he attained multiple other credentials and gained years of nursing experience in various clinical settings. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University in Chicago, Illinois and became certified as a family nurse practitioner. He is now happy to be working at Adventist Health, where the mission of whole-person care aligns with his personal values as a provider.
Away from work, Joshua enjoys spending quality time with loved ones and staying active outdoors. “Running is a great way to unwind and keep my energy up,” he says. “Long walks in nature allow me to relax and reflect.”

Joshua Minter listens attentively to every concern I have. Addresses every issue and includes me and my input in all care decisions. Joshua Minter is one of the absolute best care providers I have ever met (and I've met/had a LOT).

Dr. Minter was very thorough and addressed every single one of my concerns/complaints. Absolutely nothing was left out. All of my options were explained before a recommendation was given and every decision was double checked before being documented. I felt very validated and heard and cared for. It was one my most positive experiences with a primary care provider.

Provider was filling in, so I want to give some benefit of doubt. But the Provider never looked at me or talked to me, and never even responded to any of the concerns I expressed. They sat looking at the computer screen quietly, typing, and occasionally asking me the required questions. And I was never told next steps. I had to guess that my prescription was going to be refilled.
