Jose Javier Hernandez Duran, MD

Dr. Jose "Javier" Hernandez is a skilled family medicine physician with diverse training in primary care, pain management, psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Hernandez graduated with a Medical Doctor degree from the Autonomous University Benito Juarez in Oaxaca, Mexico, and completed his residency at Adventist Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Hanford, California,

He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Academy of HIV Medicine, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, and as a Qualified Medical Evaluator by the State of California.

Dr. Hernandez has demonstrated a commitment to community service through volunteer work at La Clínica de la Raza in Oakland, where he worked on asthma management and health coaching, and at Children’s Hospital Oakland, assisting with a study on asthma control and nutrition for adolescents. With his broad clinical experience and dedication to patient care, Dr. Hernandez continues his commitment to enhancing his skills to better serve his patients and community.
