Dr Viereck listened to my concerns and showed compassion for my condition

Dr Viereck is always very thorough and listens to my concerns and questions.

The doctor listened to all my concers and provided recommendations.

My visit was my first. Dr. V. Asked me about my issues as I hadn't seen a Neurologist in years.

The doctor does listen, and does seem to care, but listening and being nice don't matter if afterwards all they can do is shrug and admit to not being able to help. I honestly wish he he had told me, "Look, I'm not actually going to figure out how to help you, so let me instead spend this time helping you find another neurologist that would be willing to go though the work of figuring out how to increase your quality of life." Because the thing is, yes my condition is somewhat complex, but there ARE doctors out there that help with people with my condition so I don't feel like I'm being unreasonable. He did order neuropsychological testing for me but then he only read a few sentences of the entire report right there in the room with me. Why did I go through the mentally exhausting testing process for him to literally open up the report for the first time in front of me, skip to the last page and read 2-3 sentences? There's so much more I could say, but I'll leave it at that.

Dr. Viereck took the time necessary to help me and my family understand my current situation, needed care and cautions, possible changes and necessary remedies, and dealing with medication refills to insure consistent availability. Dr. Viereck was very patient with us. He was truly interested in our answers to questions asked and his demeanor welcomed discussion.

Wait was over 75 minutes. Appointment was at 3pm was seen after 4:15 pm.

Dr. Viereck was awesome! He really spent a good deal of time with me explaining everything about my condition and answering every question I had!

After addressing the initial questions I had asked if there was anything else I wanted discussed and left time just before the end of the appointment to review/reiterate what was discussed and checked that what had been asked to be addressed was.

Dr. V listened and clearly responded to all my concerns and questions.
