James P Mobley, NP

James, or Jim as he prefers to be called, is an urgent care nurse practitioner native to South Carolina that fell in love with the Oregon Coast. Now a full-time community member, he’s excited to treat patients on the Oregon Coast and contribute to the region we call home. Jim has a wide range of healthcare experience that supports our community well, serving as a combat medic in the Army, followed by civilian duty in critical care/emergency work and as a flight RN/paramedic. He worked for 25 years as a registered nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. Before joining the Adventist Health urgent care team, he worked as a pulmonary/critical care nurse practitioner in San Francisco. Jim considers serving in the Army an honor but is thankful to continue to serve in our community. At home, he enjoys time with his wife, traveling and exploring new places nearby and afar.
