Hapet Shaybekyan, MD

Prior to joining Proxima Medical Group in Glendale, family medicine physician Hapetnak Shaybekyan gained valuable expertise as a cardiovascular researcher at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA — focusing on congenital heart defects and gene mutation studies — and as clinical director at Alpha Home Health Agency in Glendale.

After earning his medical degree at Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia, Dr. Shaybekyan completed his family medicine residency at Adventist Health Glendale. He is certified by the 
American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Shaybekyan sees patients of all ages, serving the full spectrum of needs — from preventive care through acute care and management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart failure and COPD. He speaks English, Armenian and Russian.
