Francesca M Hoehne, MD

Francesca Hoehne, MD, a California native, is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant breast disease.

Dr. Hoehne received her undergraduate degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles. She then completed her medical training at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. 

Returning to California, Dr. Hoehne completed her residency in general surgery at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, where she found her interest in taking care of patients with cancer. She went on to complete a breast surgery fellowship at the John Wayne Cancer Institute under the direction of Dr. Armando Giuliano. After her fellowship, Dr. Hoehne was a private practice breast surgeon at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California, before returning to Bakersfield in 2007. 

Dr. Hoehne focuses her practice solely on the treatment of breast diseases, particularly cancer therapy. She utilizes up-to-date treatments, including sentinel lymph node biopsy, breast-conserving therapy and partial breast irradiation (MammoSite®) placement for the treatment of breast cancer. Dr. Hoehne also offers genetic testing and screening for patients who potentially are at a higher risk for breast cancer. 

Dr. Hoehne is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Diseases and American Society of Breast Surgeons.
