Fawaz Sulaiman Alhumaid, MD

Dr. Fawaz Alhumaid is a board-certified heart rhythm specialist (cardiac electrophysiologist). He serves as Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center's medical director and as associate medical officer at Adventist Health Portland. He treats patients with heart rhythm abnormalities and performs various procedures including cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and ablation of arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
Dr. Alhumaid completed his training in cardiac electrophysiology at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital, where he served as the chief electrophysiology fellow. He coordinated the atrial fibrillation research program while at Johns Hopkins and has multiple publications and patents in his field. He completed his medical degree at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. 
Married and a father of three, Dr. Alhumaid loves spending time with his family. Much of this time is enjoyed in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. His other hobbies include hiking, camping, soccer and tennis.
