Elizabeth Lopez, FNP

Certified nurse practitioner Elizabeth Lopez, FNP, specializes in emergency medicine and family practice. Naturally drawn to helping people who are emergently ill or injured, Elizabeth’s approach to patient care comes from a heart of compassion. “I enjoy helping those who are in need and helping them feel heard and cared for,” she says.

Elizabeth completed her nurse practitioner studies at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Before that, she worked for 30 years as a registered nurse and charge nurse in various clinical settings including emergency departments, NICU and pediatric trauma. Elizabeth is a Certified Emergency Nurse and also is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric advanced life support, and trauma nursing. Her skills include emergency procedures, patient management, intravenous therapy and wound care.

“As a college student working as a hospital operator out of an emergency room, I would watch all the ambulances come in and out and decided I needed to be a part of the chaos of helping save lives,” she says.

Born to Puerto Rican parents, Elizabeth is fluent in both Spanish and English. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring with her family, especially near the ocean. At home, she likes cuddling on the couch with her family.
