Daniel P Magliulo, MD

Board-certified physician, Daniel Magliulo, MD, specializes in rheumatology. He offers personalized care and experienced treatment for a wide range of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, gout, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and polymyalgia rheumatica.

Dr. Magliulo earned his medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Following his training, Dr. Magliulo remained in the Boston area and spent years working at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and Winchester Hospital.

He is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He has extensive research experience and authored original research publications in high impact journals including Lancet Rheumatology, and Clinical Immunology. He was frequently involved in medical education both through the Harvard Medical School and the University of Massachusetts, and looks forward to continuing to support medical education with the University of Hawaii.

Born and raised in Kailua, Dr. Magliulo is honored to care for the community he calls home. He is passionate about getting to know his patients as people and building strong relationships with them. He gleaned this approach from his father, who was a primary care physician for nearly 40 years and who continues to inspire him. When not busy caring for patients, Dr. Magliulo enjoys gardening, hiking, growing and shaping bonsai trees, and spending time with his young family.
