Daniel J Schlund, MD

Dr. Schlund has a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and minor in Mathematics from Walla Walla University in Washington. After college, he moved back to California to complete his medical training at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he received his Medical Degree with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Schlund is Board Certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

He chose Otolaryngology as his specialty because that area of medicine offers a good balance of surgery and cognitive medicine. He has been practicing in that field of medicine for the last 27 years.  His training also includes Facial Plastic Surgery, and he regularly performs cosmetic procedures including facial skin cancer procedures, rhinoplasty (nose shaping), chin implants, blepharoplasty, and otoplasty (ear pinning) procedures.

Married for 33 years, Dr. Schlund and his wife, Belinda, have raised four children, the oldest of whom is becoming a Nurse Practitioner. They chose to settle in the warm Central Valley where they can pursue their passion for gardening and be close to other interests which include boating, surfing, hiking and reading. They’ve become known for their yearly home-grown chili pepper collection, which they distribute to friends and family.
