Daniel Banuelos, MD

Board-certified general surgeon Daniel Banuelos, MD, completed advanced training in robotic general surgery and acute care surgery through the prestigious Master in Surgery program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Before returning home to Los Angeles, he worked as a general surgeon at two hospitals in the borough.

Providing care for patients ages 16 and older, Dr. Banuelos treats issues such as appendicitis, gallbladder disease, diverticulitis, hernia (including hiatal hernia), small bowel disease, and complicated wounds. He performs complex abdominal wall reconstruction and a wide range of other conventional, robotic, and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Banuelos and his wife, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, have a young daughter. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, playing music, and family time. He speaks English and Spanish.
