Cyrus R Moon, MD

Dr. Moon decided to pursue medicine as a career because it enables him to combine his interest in science with his desire to working directly with and be of service to others. As a medical resident, he was drawn to the benefits patients typically receive from minimally invasive surgery and finished his postdoctoral training with an emphasis on the specialty under the mentorship of some of the world’s most well-known bariatric surgeons. Today he is one of the only fellowship-trained bariatric surgeons in Kern County.

Dr. Moon particularly enjoys the difference he is able to make in the lives of others. “Whether it is helping someone recover from an illness or injury or achieve a healthier lifestyle, it is very gratifying to see the positive impact and benefits of surgery.”
