Crystal Noel Kimball, NP

Crystal Kimball, FNP-BC is a great addition to our care team. A board-certified family nurse practitioner, she provides care for all ages with an emphasis on pediatrics and women’s health, including providing well-person visits and physicals, sports physicals, and treating non-life-threatening ailments for adults and children and management of acute and chronic conditions such diabetes, hypertension, etc.
Ms. Kimball is no stranger to our Adventist Health team or Mendocino County. In fact, she has been caring for our community as part of our Adventist Health team for almost 10 years, starting out as a clinical nutrition assistant, then later as a nurse caring for patients in our inpatient units in the hospital.
Moving from the Bay Area where she was raised, Ms. Kimball is passionate about caring for the community she loves. “The feeling that you’re making connections with people that you meet and knowing that you’re making a difference for someone who might be your neighbor’s mom or your friend’s sister -- to know that you’re caring for your own community, brings me a sense of purpose and joy.” 
She was inspired to pursue healthcare because of her faith, which drives to serve and help those who need care, as well as her mother who suffers from a rare form of spinal muscular atrophy, a debilitating life-long condition. “I had many experiences with the healthcare system from that aspect and I wanted to be there for patients like her. I realized early on that it was about relationships and getting to know your patients and their needs. It’s important that they have someone they can trust and someone who cares.” 
With her background in clinical nutrition, she is also passionate about using food as medicine. “I hope to incorporate nutrition and overall wellness into my practice. It’s very important to treat the whole body and focus on diet as an important piece of disease prevention and management.”
When she is not busy caring for patients, Crystal spends time with her husband and two children. They enjoy tending to their property, and their many chickens, and goats. They love being outdoors and exploring everything that our beautiful community has to offer.
