Christopher John Koprowski, MD

Dr. Christopher Koprowski practices at Adventist Health Portland, where he is a general urologist. He was born and raised just outside Princeton, New Jersey. He graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University, where he focused on French translation, literature and philosophy. There, he wrote extensively on the cross-fertilization between sciences and the humanities, believing that the best doctors and scientists should also study and be proficient in non-scientific fields. After college, he attended Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society. He chose to pursue urologic surgery training and happily landed at UC San Diego Health (UCSD) in San Diego, California. At UCSD, Dr. Koprowski trained under top experts in open and minimally invasive surgery, men’s health, prosthetics, reconstruction and endourology. After completing his surgical training, he practiced as the only urologist in a rural practice in Illinois prior to moving permanently to Portland, Oregon. Dr. Koprowski has broad interests and treats a wide range of urologic diseases, both surgically and medically. He treats benign and malignant conditions, with a special interest in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques and advanced endourology for kidney stones.  In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, sports and studying global finance markets.  He is hoping to get a dog soon and start a family of his own.
