Board-certified surgeon Caitlin McCarthy, MD, provides experienced treatment for a wide range of health conditions including breast disease, cancer, acid reflux and hiatal hernia, among many others.
“I love that I get to try every day to affect a positive change in a patient’s health,” she shares. “This typically comes at a critical and difficult point in their lives, such as with cancer care, or during a hospitalization for trauma or acute illness.”
Care and compassion play key roles in Dr. McCarthy’s patient-centered practice. “I have always been interested in the intersection of science and caring for people,” she says.
Outside of work, Dr. McCarthy enjoys hanging out with her husband Luke and their daughters. They have fun skiing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, camping and hiking. The family has six horses, cats and dogs.

Dr McCarthy is probably the very best doctor we have here. She is down to earn, very knowledgeable, and friendly. I always feel encouraged when I leave her office. She knows what she is doing.

I am so incredibly impressed with Dr. McCarthy, while clinically astute, she is also kind and compassionate. Top notch surgical care.

Dr. McCarthy went above and beyond. I had complications with stitches post surgery and she turned my 30 minute follow up appointment into a 2 hour outpatient procedure appointment to fix all the wound closures. She absolutely went above and beyond and never made me feel like a burden.
