Bojan Lee Malmin, MD

Moments of transition, moments of vulnerability, moments of empowerment — these are what led Bojan Malmin, MD, into obstetrics and gynecology. “My life has been shaped by many great women, so I understand that women make the world go ’round,” he explains. “I want to ensure my patients feel healthy and able to lead their lives to the fullest.”
Dr. Malmin loves to help women take charge of their own health and working with them to find solutions that fit their unique situations. “Sometimes those solutions are found in cutting-edge medical advancements,” he says. “But I understand that modern medicine has room for improvement, so I will not hesitate to use alternative/traditional therapies as well.
Because every patient is unique, Dr. Malmin aims to personalize their care to their specific needs and goals. “I consider it an honor to support women along their medical and personal journeys and to provide them consistent and empathetic care,” he says.
A desire to help others and challenge himself led Dr. Malmin to a career in medicine. After completing his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine, he took his residency at University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Malmin graduated and started practicing medicine in 2013.
Dr. Malmin’s practice includes surgical treatment of gynecological conditions like ovarian cysts, fibroids and endometriosis. His specialized skills include: advanced hysteroscopy, minimally invasive laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and labial reduction.
Working at Adventist Health Portland is a true homecoming for Dr. Malmin, who was born here. “I grew up in Happy Valley back when there were more horses than people,” he says. “My family and I are very happy to be back in Oregon.” He enjoys working with his horse, Magnum.
Dr. Malmin is married and has two “crazy, wonderful kids.” As a family, they enjoy hiking, skiing, swimming and exploring the Northwest. The family also includes a clumsy dog named Moose.
