About Baron Dwayne Harper

About The Provider

Dr. Harper has been practicing medicine since 1986 and is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.

Dr. Harper completed medical school at Washington University and completed his general surgery residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Harper did his cardiothoracic fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

With more than two decades of professional experience, Dr. Harper is able to perform complex cardiac operations such as valve repairs and replacement, aortic vascular surgery and coronary bypass. Dr. Harper also performs electrophysiologic surgery, including the Cox-Maze procedure for atrial fibrillation, and angina pain control operations with transmyocardial revascularization. He also performs resection of lung tumors and minimally invasive lung surgery.
