Axle Maria Rafaelle D Untalan, MD

Axle Untalan, MD, is an internal medicine physician. She provides holistic, individualized care for adults of all ages and is passionate about forming meaningful, impactful, and long-lasting partnerships with her patients.

Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Untalan’s family inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. Her grandfather had chronic medical conditions, and from a young age Dr. Untalan played an active role in his care. That journey, and a nursing course she took prior to medical school, prompted her to become a physician.

With years of clinical experience, Dr. Untalan has also co-authored and presented several medical studies and participated in at least nine medical and surgical missions.

Away from work, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and watching musicals and plays. She fluently speaks English and Tagalog and has an 8-year-old Shih Tzu named Prince.
