Arthur Byron Fontaine, MD

Dr. Arthur B. Fontaine, MD, is a board-certified diagnostic and interventional radiologist who has dedicated more than four decades to caring for his community.

His commitment to serving others is inspired by his Catholic faith and solemn vow he made to be a good Samaritan by healing others.

In his field, Dr. Fontaine uses advanced imaging techniques to treat a variety of conditions. He has expertise in conducting biopsies, performing embolization treatments and placing dialysis catheters.

Throughout his career, Dr. Fontaine has held a variety of leadership positions, including as director of imaging at what is now Adventist Health Specialty Bakersfield.

He is originally from Northern California. Since the early 2000s, he has lived and served in Kern County, where he lives with his wife. Together, they have one child and, when not at work, enjoy spending time in the mountains.
