About The Provider
Anup B. Shah, MD specializes in caring for both men and women suffering from urological disorders. This includes a full range of benign and malignant conditions, including enlarged prostate (BPH), erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, elevated PSA, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, adrenal masses, and testis cancer.
Dr. Shah provides evidence-based care, including lifestyle interventions, medications, endoscopic, robotic, and open surgical care where medically appropriate, tailored to the patient’s therapeutic goals.
When asked what inspires Dr. Shah to practice medicine, he said, “My philosophy of patient care is to understand the patient’s goals and concerns, personalize evaluation of their urologic health, and provide the safest and most advanced urologic care available.”
Dr. Shah attended medical school at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed a urology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident in Urologic Surgery (2020-21). Prior to medical school, Dr. Shah also trained at Northwestern University and Stanford University as a mechanical engineer. This experience informs his methodical, thorough approach to taking care of patients.
His interests and hobbies include staying engaged in medical advances, reading, swimming, and spending time with his family.
