About The Provider
Dr. Pakula has been at the forefront of advanced hernia treatment procedures and a wide range of gastro specialties for more than a decade. She is considered one of the world’s foremost experts on the Intuitive da Vinci line of surgical systems and is one of just a handful of physicians nationwide who teaches other surgeons how to perform complex hernia repairs on the da Vinci robot.
Dr. Pakula’s goal is to provide modern, evidence-based surgical care and to offer minimally invasive techniques whenever possible. Being a prolific author on the subject and having garnered several research awards, Dr. Pakula has a passion for seeing patients returned to the ideal state of health.

Dr. Pakula exudes maximum professionalism in concert with a warm, approachable confidence. She truly listened and answered all my questions thoroughly. Her explanation of the procedure was simultaneously technical and easy to comprehend. I understand she teaches use of the robotic equipment and she could easily teach communication as well. I found the right surgeon!!
