Alea Rae Garces, ACNP

Acute care nurse practitioner Alea Garces, ACNP, specializes in cardiology. She provides personalized care for a wide range of heart and vascular conditions and actively tracks advances in treatments and technologies.

“Cardiovascular health is crucial to overall well-being, and I find it incredibly fulfilling to help patients navigate their heart health while making a meaningful difference in their lives,” she says.

Prior to becoming nurse practitioner, Alea worked as a registered nurse in intensive care units for several years. She managed critically ill patients in a combined cardiac, medical, neurological and surgical intensive care unit, and she filled numerous leadership roles.

Ultimately, she says, “I chose cardiology as my specialty because it combines everything I find fascinating about medicine: complexity, innovation, and the opportunity for meaningful impact.”

In her free time, Alea enjoys being with family, skiing, hiking and wakeboarding.
