Alan Jay Hwang, MD

A deep desire to help others drives Dr. Hwang to do everything he can to improve his patients’ quality of life. “I love being able to help people get their lives back,” he says, “whether it is helping an athlete return to their sport or enabling a person to enjoy pain-free movement.”

Dr. Hwang specializes in sports medicine and orthopedic care for the shoulder, hip and knee for patients ages 12 and older. Common conditions he treats include osteoarthritis of the shoulder, hip, and knee; ACL tear; rotator cuff tear; shoulder instability; and hip impingement. His fellowship experience includes working with professional sports teams such as the LA Dodgers, LA Rams and Anaheim Ducks.

When he’s not busy providing patient care, Dr. Hwang enjoys snowboarding, fishing and spending time with his wife and daughter.
