About The Provider
Mark Sawyer, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who provides health care and treatment for children from newborns to adolescents and teens. A Yuba City native, he completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University and a pediatric internship and a pediatric residency at the prestigious Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has a special interest in developing emerging literacy skills in young children to support life-long learning and growth. Outside of medicine, Dr. Sawyer’s experience includes professional work as a preschool teacher in Korea and more than 10 years of school-based volunteer activities.
Dr. Sawyer enjoys photography, electronics, singing/guitar, and spending time with family. He speaks Korean and English.

Dr. Sawyer is truly the best pediatrician. He has helped me so many times with all of my kids and always manages to squeeze them in when something urgent comes up. He listens carefully, answers all my questions, and genuinely cares about their wellbeing.

Dr. Sawyer has been amazing this past year. My kids have had a tough time with back-to-back respiratory illnesses, and he has always provided excellent care for them. He listens to every concern and creates a clear game plan to help get them back to feeling their best

Dr. Sawyer is an amazing doctor who really listens to your concerns and takes his time during each visit to make sure your child is comfortable and that the caregiver understands everything that is going on.
